Receiving Technician
$22.00/hr. Monday to Friday, 6am to 2:30 pm. Overtime opportunities available as needed.
Job Summary:
The Receiving Technician coordinates daily activities of the Receiving Department, ensuring accurate and timely receipt of all deliveries from vendors and carriers. This role maintains security to prevent loss and damage to incoming and outgoing materials and supplies.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain security of the receiving department and loading dock.
- Maintain accurate files and records for all shipped, received, and delivered materials.
- Replenish medical gas and prepare deliveries for the 8:00 pm staging.
- Inspect incoming freight for damages, defects, or discrepancies.
- Verify accuracy of incoming shipments against purchase orders (P.O.) in the MMIS system.
- Receive incoming materials, supplies, and equipment efficiently and accurately.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Must be able to operate RF Scanner and pallet jack.
- 1-3 years of experience in shipping/receiving, warehouse distribution, or inventory control preferred.
- Ability to work independently or with supervision.
Essential Job Functions:
- Frequently move materials in the warehouse weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.
- Frequently position oneself to perform various warehouse tasks.
Work Environment:
- Primarily warehouse environment.
- Often work indoors but may occasionally work outdoors.
- May be exposed to sounds and noise levels that can be distracting or uncomfortable.
- Work near others and often share the same workspace.
