Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards.
- Assist in menu planning, including the creation of seasonal dishes and specials.
- Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with food safety regulations and best practices.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including proper food handling and storage.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service during peak hours.
- Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and communicate needs to management.
- Participate in catering events as required, providing exceptional service and meal preparation.
- Uphold high standards of quality in presentation and taste of all dishes served.
Experience
- Previous experience in a dietary department or as a dietary aide is preferred.
- Fine dining experience is a plus, showcasing an understanding of high-quality culinary standards.
- Proven skills in food preparation, cooking, and food service within a restaurant or catering environment.
- Strong knowledge of food safety practices and regulations.
- Excellent knife skills and familiarity with various cooking techniques.
- Experience working in a fast-paced kitchen setting with the ability to multitask effectively.
