Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and organized Host/Host to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, setting the tone for their dining experience. Your primary responsibilities will include greeting guests, managing waitlists and reservations, and ensuring a smooth flow of service in the restaurant. A positive attitude and excellent communication skills are essential to provide exceptional customer service.
Duties
- Greet and welcome guests as they arrive, ensuring a warm and inviting atmosphere.
- Manage reservations and seating arrangements efficiently to optimize guest flow.
- Assist guests with inquiries regarding menu items and restaurant services.
- Maintain an organized waiting list during busy periods, communicating wait times clearly to guests.
- Collaborate with the serving staff to ensure timely service and guest satisfaction.
- Handle phone calls with professionalism, providing information about the restaurant and taking reservations as needed.
- Utilize Tray POS system for managing guest check-ins and reservations effectively.
- Uphold high standards of cleanliness and organization in the host/host area.
Experience
- Previous experience in customer service or food service is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with restaurant operations is a plus.
- Strong phone etiquette skills to communicate effectively with guests over the phone.
- Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining a positive demeanor.
- Excellent guest relations skills to ensure a memorable dining experience for all patrons.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with team members and guests.
