Role Description The Payroll Specialist is a full-time, on-site role based in Babylon, NY. This role is responsible for supporting ongoing payroll operations for existing clients while also assisting with payroll implementation and onboarding for new clients. Experience working with PrismHR is strongly preferred.
Day-to-day responsibilities include reviewing and reconciling payroll data, coordinating with payroll providers, troubleshooting payroll discrepancies, and ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing. The Payroll Specialist will work closely with internal teams and client payroll departments to maintain accurate payroll records, resolve payroll-related issues, and ensure smooth ongoing operations.
Additionally, this role will play a key part in implementing payroll processes for new clients, including coordinating payroll system access, reviewing employee payroll data, assisting with payroll code setup, and ensuring successful integration into existing payroll systems. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly organized, comfortable working with multiple clients and payroll platforms, and able to manage both ongoing payroll operations and new client implementations efficiently.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in payroll processing, payroll administration, or a related field.
- Experience with PrismHR is strongly preferred.
- Experience working with multiple payroll platforms and payroll service providers.
- Knowledge of payroll processes, payroll deductions, tax withholdings, and payroll compliance.
- Experience with new client payroll implementations, onboarding, and payroll system setup is a plus.
- Ability to review, reconcile, and troubleshoot payroll data and discrepancies.
- Strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy in handling payroll information.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple clients and priorities simultaneously.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to collaborate with internal teams, clients, and payroll providers.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, and other payroll-related software.
- Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, growing company and adapting to evolving processes.
- Must be able to work full-time, on-site in Babylon, NY.
