The Nursing Support (NS) colleague (uncertified, certified, unlicensed, or licensed) provides safe, quality health care services & / or assistance to patients under the supervision & direction of a registered nurse or other designated health care professional in accordance with level of experience, education, policies & procedures.

Performs a variety of direct and indirect patient care activities under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse.
Responsibilities
- Assist patients with activities of daily living such as bathing, feeding and ambulation
- Taking vitals, patient care documentation
- Managing supplies
What You Will Need
- High School Diploma or GED
- Ability to do heavy lifting, pushing, pulling and standing for long hours
- Patient Care Tech Training classes 1 week of classroom M-F from 8a-4p Classes take place at St. Mary’s Hospital in Troy. This training is required to be able to begin the unit specific training.
