What are the responsibilities and job description for the Finished Goods Material Handler (Day Shift) position at IGT?
As a Finished Goods Material Handler I at IGT, you’ll be part of the team responsible for moving and organizing the finished electronic gaming machines that define our brand. Working within our Reno logistics and manufacturing operations, you’ll play a key role in keeping production running smoothly, ensuring materials are where they need to be, and preparing completed products for delivery to customers worldwide. You’ll handle materials across key functional areas such as receiving, shipping, production support, and raw or finished glass inventory restocking for Casino Services operations. Your work will directly support the production and delivery of IGT’s industry-leading gaming machines—making you a key part of the team that keeps everything in motion.
What You’ll Do
- Move raw materials, finished goods, and parts using forklifts, pallet jacks, and other powered or handheld equipment.
- Stage materials for production lines and put away incoming freight.
- Review material needs, daily work orders, and coordinate with production and shipping teams to prioritize tasks.
- Use SAP and other computer systems to accurately document inventory movement and maintain workflow efficiency.
- Conduct visual inspections of electronic gaming machines and components to identify and report cosmetic or handling defects.
- Maintain organized and stocked work areas to ensure inventory accuracy.
- Follow all company safety procedures and maintain a clean, hazard-free workspace.
- Participate in ongoing training and certification programs for powered industrial equipment.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- 6 months to 1 year of experience in manufacturing, warehousing, or materials handling preferred.
- Experience operating forklifts or willingness to complete IGT’s certification training.
- Basic computer literacy and familiarity with inventory management systems (SAP experience a plus).
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation and inventory control.
- Works efficiently in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Capable of lifting and moving up to 75 pounds on a regular basis.
- Ability to pass a security background investigation.
