Mission Critical Security Superintendent
Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Mission Critical Security Superintendent to oversee the field execution of electronic security systems on large-scale mission critical projects, including data centers, industrial facilities, semiconductor facilities, and other high-security environments.
This role is responsible for managing daily field operations, coordinating installation crews and subcontractors, maintaining schedule, enforcing safety standards, verifying quality, and ensuring all security systems are installed, tested, documented, and turned over properly.
This is a field leadership role for physical/electronic security construction, including access control, CCTV/video surveillance, intrusion detection, intercoms, badging systems, door hardware integration, fiber/copper pathways, and related low-voltage systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead daily field operations for mission critical security system installation
- Manage security technicians, subcontractors, vendors, and field labor
- Coordinate work with general contractors, electrical contractors, low-voltage teams, commissioning teams, and client representatives
- Review drawings, specifications, schedules, RFIs, submittals, and installation details
- Oversee installation of access control, CCTV, intrusion, intercom, perimeter security, and related systems
- Ensure work is completed according to project drawings, specifications, safety requirements, and quality standards
- Track manpower, material needs, productivity, delays, and daily progress
- Conduct site walks, inspections, punch list reviews, and quality checks
- Support testing, commissioning, troubleshooting, and system turnover
- Maintain accurate daily reports, field documentation, redlines, and closeout records
- Enforce OSHA and site-specific safety requirements
- Identify issues early and communicate schedule, manpower, or material risks to project leadership
- Work closely with project managers to keep the project on schedule and within scope
Qualifications
- 5 years of field leadership experience in security systems, low-voltage, electrical, or mission critical construction
- Experience on data center, industrial, semiconductor, healthcare, federal, or other complex commercial projects preferred
- Strong knowledge of access control, CCTV/video surveillance, intrusion detection, intercom, and structured cabling systems
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, security drawings, electrical plans, and specifications
- Experience managing crews, subcontractors, schedules, safety, QA/QC, and punch lists
- Strong communication skills with owners, GCs, trades, vendors, and internal project teams
- Comfortable working in fast-paced, schedule-driven mission critical environments
- Proficient with daily reports, field documentation, redlines, and closeout tracking
- OSHA 30 preferred
- Experience with platforms such as Lenel, Genetec, Software House / CCURE, Milestone, Avigilon, AMAG, or similar systems is a plus
- Experience with Procore, Bluebeam, PlanGrid, or similar construction tools is a plus

Work Environment
This role is primarily field-based and may require travel, extended schedules, overtime, weekends, or project-based rotations depending on client and site requirements.
Pay: $200,000.00 - $300,000.00 per year
