Responsibilities
- Review and verify loan application documents, ensuring accuracy and completeness in accordance with FNMA (Fannie Mae) guidelines and other regulatory standards.
- Prepare and submit loan packages for underwriting approval, including credit analysis, income verification, and asset documentation.
- Collaborate with loan officers, underwriters, and clients to gather necessary information and clarify any discrepancies during the loan processing cycle.
- Ensure compliance with Fair Housing regulations, TILA (Truth in Lending Act), and other federal or state mortgage laws throughout the process.
- Manage escrow accounts, title work, contracts, and other related documentation to facilitate smooth loan closings.
- Conduct basic math calculations for income analysis, debt-to-income ratios, and qualifying criteria using 10-key typing skills for data entry accuracy.
- Maintain detailed records of all loan processing activities, adhering to company policies and regulatory requirements.
Requirements
- Proven experience in loan origination or mortgage processing within the financial services industry.
- Strong understanding of FNMA guidelines, underwriting procedures, and mortgage servicing processes.
- Knowledge of TILA regulations, escrow procedures, contracts, and banking operations.
- Excellent credit analysis skills combined with proficiency in basic math and 10-key typing for precise data handling.
- Familiarity with Fair Housing regulations and compliance standards related to mortgage lending.
- Ability to interpret complex financial documents and perform detailed credit assessments.
