About our client

Leveraging Equal Access Program (LEAP) is a 501 (c)(3) nonprofit organization that helps individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Our individuals' disabilities range from Down syndrome, MR, Traumatic Brain Injury, Autism, and other cognitive and physical disabilities. Our team is creative, extraordinary, dynamic, and committed to serving the developmentally disabled community with positive impacts.

About the role

As a Program Coordinator with LEAP, you'll be one of those extraordinary people. We seek a passionate team player who can successfully assist in program goals and the day-to-day operation of the program. Beyond the desired qualifications, you must be willing to bring your creative ideas and your passion for success; we'll train you on the rest.

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Support planning, implementation, and coordination of the program and its activities, with a focus on outreach for new home providers, coordinating home studies, and audit preparation.
  • Ensure consistent and complete documentation of program services and activities.
  • Maintain internal documentation of compliance and monitoring.
  • Processes fingerprints and applications of home providers.
  • Support maintaining program-related partnerships with community-based and neighborhood organizations.
  • Coordinate program communications internally and externally.
  • Support the Program Manager and Social Work team to ensure that high-quality services are consistently delivered, and the records are maintained in accordance with appropriate standards.
  • Handle confidential information and documents, as well as potential crisis situations.
  • Coordinate and attend staff meetings, trainings, and other meetings as required.
  • Manage files of home providers and Individuals served.
  • Serve as a point of contact for external vendors and customers.
  • Travel to and from home sites for home visits and outreach events.
  • Coordinate and assist with the move-in of individuals in the program.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field with a minimum of three years of experience as a Program Coordinator, Case Manager, or Housing Specialist.
  • Solid organizational skills, including attention to detail and multitasking.
  • Clear and effective external and internal, verbal and written, communication skills.
  • Strong critical thinker and problem solver who can successfully build and lead an execution strategy from a long-term vision.
  • Passion and knowledge of skill-based workforce development programming and social enterprises.
  • Ability to work with people from diverse backgrounds.
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Excel, Microsoft Office, and Google Suite, as
    well as graphic design programs such as Canva for creating flyers and other promotional materials.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with individuals and groups, both professional and non-professional, co-workers, management personnel, the public, and others.
  • Access to reliable transportation.

  • Event planning experience
  • Interested in Social Justice
  • Independent worker
  • Experience with interviewing and person-centered frameworks such as Motivational Interviewing and trauma-informed care.
