Survey Technician
Location: Mason, OH 45040 (Local candidates only)
Salary: $50-55k Benefits
Job Type: Full-Time, Direct Hire
Overview:
Under the supervision of a professional surveyor or engineer, the Survey Technician will assist with topographic surveys, field data collection, CAD drafting, and traffic data collection.
Responsibilities:
- Perform field data collection and survey tasks
- Conduct deed and recorded document research
- Operate Robotic Total Stations, GNSS equipment, and hand measuring tools
- Draft in AutoCAD/Civil3D and related software
- Maintain and procure survey equipment
- Travel to various project sites as needed
- Assist with traffic counts and related engineering tasks
Requirements:
- 2-5 years’ survey experience
- Valid driver’s license with clean record
- Survey Technician certification preferred
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Ability to read and interpret technical plans
Computer Skills:
- Microsoft Word, Excel
- AutoCAD/Civil3D, Trimble Business Center, Google Earth
- OpenRoads Designer / MicroStation
Education:
- High school diploma or GED required
- Vocational/technical coursework in surveying or engineering preferred
Physical Requirements:
- Work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Ability to lift/move objects over 40 lbs
- Navigate uneven terrain and roadside areas safely

Pay: $48,128.36 - $55,000.00 per year
