Where You’ll Make a Difference
- Perform microbiological analyses of raw and finished products following established procedures.
- Verify equipment daily and perform minor maintenance on test equipment as assigned.
- Ensure all retained samples are properly identified and stored.
- Prepare reagents, media, and testing supplies as needed.
- Apply basic aseptic techniques to maintain sample integrity.
- Assist with special projects supporting quality initiatives.
- Maintain laboratory housekeeping and complete the master sanitation schedule.
- Follow all Safety and Food Safety practices during job functions.
- Contribute to Quality Control and the advancement of IFF within the Quality organization
- Associate degree or higher in a science-related field OR 5 years of experience as a lab analyst or lab technician.
- Experience with LIMS or equivalent laboratory information system.
- Familiarity with GMP-regulated environments.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Ability to wear required PPE (steel toes, hardhat, hearing protection, protective eyewear).
- Physically able to lift/move up to 50 lbs., stand, walk, stoop, bend, kneel, and reach overhead.
- Comfortable climbing stairs up to 9 levels in high-heat environments (up to 120°C).
- Previous experience in microbiological testing within a food or ingredient manufacturing setting.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality standards.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
