- Monitoring and operating the equipment on the production/packaging line in a 24 / 7 / 365 operation
- Complying with all company policies including, but not limited to, Quality, Safety, Food Safety, Environmental, GMP’s, HACCP, Early Reporting of Pain, and Attendance
- Monitoring the manufacturing process and equipment to assure it is operating properly and make minor mechanical adjustments when necessary
- Recognizing atypical/incorrect conditions and contact the Lead
- Maintaining accurate written records or logs
- Assembling and disassembling production equipment as required by processes and Work Instructions
- Housekeeping
- Vacation & sick coverage of opposite shift when required
- Cooperates/assists co-workers as required.
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Must be able to read, communicate, comprehend, and follow oral and written procedures and instructions
- Must have the basic understanding of computers to check email and navigate the internet for safety training and have the ability to learn new systems quickly
- Previous work experience in a food manufacturing/GMP environment is preferred
- Ability to read, write, and speak English is required
- Previous fork-lift experience is preferred
- Mechanical aptitude; experience troubleshooting equipment and machines is preferred
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong multi-tasking, problem solving and time management skills
- Ability to work 12- hour night shift, 2-2-3 schedule; including weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed on a regular basis is required (5pm – 5am)
- Must be willing and able to work in manufacturing environments to include; wearing safety equipment, such as earplugs, gloves, safety glasses, hardhats, hairnets, and steel-toed shoes are required
- While performing the duties of this job, you may be required to stand; walk (up and down stairs); twist; bend; stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, or climb for extended periods of time; and will require the ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds is required
