Bevco is seeking a forward-thinking strategic Buyer to elevate our procurement function beyond transactional purchasing. This role is designed for a proactive professional who thrives on data-driven decision-making, supplier relationship management, and value creation. This role will be responsible for both tactical procurement and development of their assigned supply base. You’ll play a key role in shaping sourcing strategies, optimizing cost structures, and driving innovation across our supply base.

This role will be responsible for both tactical procurement and development of their assigned supply base. You’ll play a key role in shaping sourcing strategies, optimizing cost structures, and driving innovation across our supply base.
Responsibilities
- Purchasing:
- Collaborate with vendors to negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedules.
- Source and procure materials, components, and services required for production.
- Maintain accurate records of purchases and monitor supplier performance.
- Material Planning Optimization
- Utilize MRP systems to plan material needs, track inventory levels, and prevent shortages.
- Analyze demand patterns and adjust procurement plans accordingly.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align production schedules with material availability.
- Inventory Management:
- Monitor inventory levels, minimize excess stock, and prevent stockouts.
- Implement inventory control strategies to optimize working capital.
- Supplier Relationship Management:
- Cultivate strong relationships with suppliers, ensuring reliable and consistent deliveries.
- Evaluate supplier performance, address issues, and drive continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with suppliers on cost reduction initiatives.
- 2-4 year's of Supply Chain experience required.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., Certified Professional in Supply Management, APICS CPIM) preferred.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Strong understanding of MRP principles, and ability to navigate ERP systems (SAP experience is a plus)
- Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
- Experience in an electrical products manufacturing environment is advantageous.
- Bachelor’s in Supply Chain Management, Operations, Business, or related field.
