What are the responsibilities and job description for the Class A CDL Truck Driver - Lowboy Trailer North Jersey position at IEW Construction Group?
Summary:
ISC Structures has an immediate opening for an experienced, reliable CDL Class A Lowboy/Tow Truck Driver with minimum 5 years exp. Must pass background and pre-employment drug test. Must possess and maintain a Class A CDL with clean DMV record, and DOT Medical Card.
Must be familiar with safety and DOT regulations. Candidate must have experience with oversized loads and must keep vehicle operational by following operating instructions.
Essential Job Functions:
- Transport of Heavy Equipment: Loading and unloading, proper securement, and transport various types of equipment and material on trailers to customers job sites.
- Ensure equipment being transported complies with DOT regulations.
- Operate lowboy trailer on sites including off of public highways.
- Conducting all work activities in a safe manner, using appropriate PPE
- Perform routine inspection and preventive maintenance on assigned equipment and refer defects or repairs to supervisor.
- Perform all duties in conformance to appropriate safety and security standards.
- Keep accurate records and reports as required including a daily log.
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor in the shop area.
Qualifications:
- LOWBED Experience a MUST, Transport & ability to operate Heavy Equipment
- Experience hauling oversize loads.
- Five (5) years of relevant experience.
- Ability to safely drive various vehicles.
- Ability to communicate effectively.
- Ability to work independently.
- Ability to work OT as needed. Must have the ability to work flexible schedule for emergency situations.
- Ability to handle physical workload
- Strong work ethic
