Job Overview: Ensures the efficient operation of the Accounts Payable Office
Responsibilities:
- Reconciles processed work by verifying entries and comparing system reports to balances.
- Charges expenses to accounts and cost centers by analyzing invoice/expense reports; recording entries.
- Pays vendors; verifying federal id numbers; scheduling and preparing checks; resolving purchase order, contract, invoice, or payment discrepancies and documentation
- Maintains accounting ledgers by verifying and posting account transactions.
- Verifies vendor accounts by reconciling monthly statements and related transactions
- Maintains historical records
- Disburses petty cash by recording entry; verifying documentation.
- Protects organization's value by keeping information confidential.
- Accomplishes accounting and organization mission by completing related results as needed
Requirements:
- Associate degree in bookkeeping/accounting or a minimum of 3 years accounts payable/ general accounting experience
- Strong computer skills including Excel experience
- Effective communication skills
- Team player with self-confidence and professional presence
- Thoroughness, Organizational skills
- Analyzing Information
- Data Entry Skills
Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge of Sales Tax, Experience in Viewpoint Construction Management Software a plus
Hourly Rate: $25 to $30
