Position Title: Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) Manager

Reports To: Director of Operations

Location: IES Health and Safety Sciences, LLC - Louisville, KY

Position Summary: As the Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) Manager, you will lead a dedicated team of industrial hygiene technicians providing expert IH services to external clients across various industries. Additionally, you will manage internal industrial hygiene programs, ensuring our organization's adherence to health and safety regulations. Your role is critical in safeguarding employee and client wellbeing, regulatory compliance, and operational excellence.

Primary Responsibilities:

· Lead and manage the delivery of industrial hygiene services including exposure assessments, hazard evaluations, monitoring, and recommending control strategies for external client projects.

· Develop and oversee internal industrial hygiene programs and initiatives, including assessments, hazard controls, compliance monitoring, and employee education.

· Ensure rigorous adherence to OSHA, NIOSH, ACGIH, and other relevant regulatory and professional standards internally and externally.

· Provide expert-level consultation on a wide range of IH topics including chemical, biological, physical, and ergonomic hazards to clients and internal stakeholders.

· Direct project planning, budgeting, scheduling, execution, and quality assurance activities.

· Mentor, train, and develop IH technicians and internal personnel, fostering professional growth and technical excellence.

· Act as the primary liaison with regulatory bodies for both internal and external IH matters.

· Engage actively in client relationship management and contribute to business development activities, including proposal preparation and client presentations.

· Coordinate and support emergency response efforts related to occupational health exposures internally and externally.

Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Hygiene, Occupational Health, Environmental Science, or related field (Master’s degree preferred).

· Current Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) credential required.

· Minimum 7-10 years of relevant industrial hygiene experience, including at least 3 years in a supervisory or managerial role.

· Thorough understanding of OSHA, NIOSH, ACGIH standards, and industry best practices.

· Demonstrated leadership, communication, organizational, and project management skills.

· Proficient with industrial hygiene analytical methods, equipment, and related software.

Working Environment:

· Combination of office and fieldwork, requiring occasional travel.

· Potential exposure to occupational hazards requiring appropriate PPE and safety protocol adherence.
