Role Description The Business Development Professional will be responsible for identifying and qualifying new business opportunities, nurturing leads, and building long-term client relationships for IES Safety, LLC’s consulting and retainer services. Day-to-day tasks include prospecting via calls, emails, and networking; conducting discovery meetings to understand client needs; preparing proposals and presentations; and coordinating with consulting staff to align service offerings with client requirements. This role will also manage the sales pipeline, track metrics in CRM tools, and contribute to marketing and outreach initiatives that support growth in target industries. The position is full time and remote, requiring consistent communication with clients, partners, and internal team members, as well as periodic travel as needed for key meetings or events.

- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, occupational safety, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience preferred - record of success more important.
- Experience in B2B sales or business development, preferably in consulting, professional services, or safety/compliance-related industries.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including comfort with virtual meetings and presentations.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment, manage time effectively, and meet performance targets.
- Familiarity with OSHA or other regulatory frameworks and an interest in occupational safety and health is highly beneficial.
- Proficiency with CRM software and standard office productivity tools.
