About the Position
IES Residential is seeking an experienced Low Voltage Technician specializing in security, audio/video, home automation, and structured cabling systems. The ideal candidate is motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work independently in residential environments throughout the Nashville area.
Responsibilities
- Program and install residential cable and internet systems
- Install and configure home automation systems
- Troubleshoot and service installed systems, including security and AV
- Install and terminate low-voltage, CAT4/CAT5 (or CAT5e/CAT6), and fiber systems
- Follow all company and jobsite safety standards
- Maintain reliable communication and professionalism on job sites

Requirements
Specific Qualifications
- Experience in low-voltage, security, and audio/video installation
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Ability to diagnose and resolve issues in the field
- Ability to work with hand tools, power tools, testers, and ladders
- Must be able to pass and comply with all required safety training
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality workmanship
- Experience with home automation platforms
- Fiber termination and testing skills
- Previous work in residential construction environments
