The HVAC Project Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing the installation, maintenance, and service of HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning) systems on assigned projects. This role includes managing all aspects of HVAC projects from inception to completion, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with safety and quality standards. The Project Manager will lead project teams, coordinate with clients, vendors, subcontractors, and internal departments, and resolve any issues that arise during the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Planning & Coordination:
Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets.
Coordinate and assign tasks to HVAC team members, subcontractors, and vendors.
Ensure that all necessary materials, equipment, and resources are available for the project.
Budget and Cost Management:
Track project costs and manage expenditures to stay within the approved budget.
Review and approve project-related invoices, change orders, and contract modifications.
Develop cost estimates and manage the procurement of materials and labor.
Site Management & Quality Control:
Oversee the installation, maintenance, and commissioning of HVAC systems at project sites.
Ensure all work is completed to industry standards, building codes, and safety regulations.
Perform inspections and quality control to maintain the highest level of workmanship.
Client & Stakeholder Communication:
Serve as the main point of contact for clients, addressing questions and concerns.
Provide regular progress updates to clients, stakeholders, and internal teams.
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and subcontractors.
Safety & Compliance:
Enforce safety protocols and ensure compliance with OSHA and local safety regulations.
Identify and mitigate any potential risks or hazards on the job site.
Team Leadership:
Lead, motivate, and mentor project team members.
Resolve conflicts or issues within the team and ensure a collaborative work environment.
Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to team members.
Project Closeout & Documentation:
Ensure all project documentation is completed, including as-built drawings, warranties, and operation manuals.
Manage project closeout procedures and client handover.
Provide final project reports, including lessons learned and recommendations for future projects.

Specific Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field (preferred).
5 years of experience in HVAC project management or related field.
Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, installation processes, and industry standards.
Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Procore, MS Project, or similar).
Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
Knowledge of building codes, regulations, and safety standards.
PMP or similar project management certification (preferred).
