The Role

The Accounting Specialist role focuses on billing, Accounts Receivable management, and assisting with budgeting and forecasting reports.

Job Summary

• Progress billing: Prepare, review, and submit accurate customer invoices tied directly to project agreements
• Cross-team collaboration: Partner closely with Project Managers and clients to manage billings and resolve any discrepancies
• AR ownership: Drive accounts receivable performance by managing daily deposits and aging backlogs
• Expense allocation: Assist with coding and allocating monthly operational expenses
• Financial forecasting: Assist with preparation of monthly budget and forward-looking reports
• Work independently: Own your daily workflow to meet monthly close deadlines with minimal oversight
  
  

Qualifications

• Experience: 2 years recent related experience OR degree in Business/Accounting
• Eye for detail: An analytical mind that catches errors before they impact the bottom line
• Discretion: Commitment to maintaining strict confidentiality as needed
• Industry tech: Proficiency in Excel (pivot tables) and exposure to construction a plus
• Screening: Ability to successfully pass a standard pre-employment (post offer) background check
