IES Electrical is looking for an experienced Electrical Estimator for work in Nebraska. Office locations include Kearney, Grand Island, Norfolk and Holdrege.
As an Electrical Estimator, you'll play a key role in delivering accurate, competitive bids that support our projects from concept to completion. Your responsibilities will include:
Estimating commercial and industrial projects (plan/spec, design-build, and design-assist).
Applying best practices and established estimating procedures.
Coordinating project scopes with local and national codes.
Working closely with material suppliers and subcontractors.
Managing requests for information (RFIs) throughout the bidding process.
Reviewing and qualifying quotes for specialized materials and subcontractor work.
Preparing proposal letters, bid forms and turnover packages on awarded projects.
Interacting with customers and internal teams throughout the project lifecycle.
Qualifications
Recent experience or education in electrical field work, estimating, or engineering.
Working knowledge of blueprints, specifications, applicable codes, and regulations.
Able to work in one of our Nebraska offices.
Strong computer skills, including the ability to work efficiently with estimating software.
Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Must successfully pass a post-offer background check, drug test and motor vehicle record check.
