Industrial Controls Technician
We’re seeking an experienced Industrial Controls Technician to support, maintain, and improve our plant’s electrical and automation systems. This hands‑on role involves troubleshooting equipment, programming PLCs, and ensuring reliable operation of instrumentation and control systems.
Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and troubleshoot electrical, instrumentation, and control equipment
- Program and support PLC/HMI/DCS systems (Allen‑Bradley, Siemens, etc.)
- Diagnose electrical issues, motor controls, VFDs, and industrial networks
- Build and install control panels and automation solutions
- Perform preventive maintenance and ensure system reliability
- Read schematics, P&IDs, and wiring diagrams
- Maintain safety compliance (LOTO, OSHA, NFPA 70E)
Requirements
- Technical degree or trade school preferred
- 3 years of industrial electrical/controls experience
- Strong PLC troubleshooting and programming skills
- Ability to diagnose issues without full schematics
- Skilled in wiring, conduit, panel building, and instrumentation
- Strong communication and problem‑solving abilities
- Willing to support overtime/on‑call needs
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $27.00 - $35.00 per hour
