IDR is seeking a Patient Account Representative to join one of our top clients for an opportunity in Laguna Hills, CA. This role is within a healthcare setting, focusing on patient registration, billing, and insurance verification to support the Radiology Therapeutic Department. The position offers the chance to contribute to patient care processes and improve departmental operations.
Position Overview for the Patient Account Representative:
- Assist with the end-to-end processing of patient registration, scheduling, billing, authorization, and treatment planning to ensure accurate and timely reimbursement.
- Maintain organized administrative support functions within the Radiology Therapeutic department, including file management and report distribution.
- Interact with patients to ensure understanding and deliver an overall positive patient care experience.
- Ensure and obtain correct current eligibility, benefit coverage, and authorizations to secure patient accounts.
- Assist with training new staff personnel in Radiology Therapeutic Department procedures.
Requirements for the Patient Account Representative:
- Experience assisting in training of new staff personnel to the Radiology Therapeutic Department.
- Appropriate level of expertise in registering, verifying and updating patient information in EPIC in a timely and accurate manner.
- Knowledge of insurance verification, authorization, and benefit coverage procedures.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience working in healthcare, preferably in a Radiology department.
