The Role & The Opportunity
We are seeking a dedicated and self-driven Technician to provide superior on-site installation and repair services for commercial doors and hardware.
This unique role offers an exciting blend of travel and local work:
- Approximately 40% Travel for out-of-state projects
- Approximately 60% Local Work in the Metro Detroit area
The Travel Advantage: For all overnight, out-of-state travel, you will receive a High Per Diem to ensure your lodging, meals, and incidentals are covered generously, allowing you to focus on the job while maximizing your take-home pay.
What You Will Do
- Install & Repair: Perform scheduled, on-site service, installation, and repair of doors, frames, mechanical door hardware, and electronic access control systems.
- Customer Communication: Maintain professional verbal and written communication with customers before arrival and while on-site, ensuring a positive experience.
- Growth & Learning: Engage in on-the-job training under an experienced door technician to grow your product and technical knowledge.
- Tech-Savvy Service: Utilize company-provided technology (computer/tablet) for logging work and performing job functions.
- Service Support: Handle service calls as needed during a regular shift (no 24/7 on-call requirement).
