Position Summary
The Assistant Manager supports daily food and beverage operations across the Sports Bar and Taylor’s dining rooms as well as their respective outdoor seating areas, private event spaces, and pool dining outlets. Working closely with Clubhouse leadership, this role helps ensure a consistently high standard of service while fostering a polished, welcoming environment for members and guests.
This position plays an important role in developing team members, reinforcing service standards, and contributing to a strong, team-oriented service culture. The Assistant Manager is expected to pursue ongoing professional growth and actively engage in mentorship with senior leadership to strengthen management and leadership skills.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Food & Beverage supervisory or leadership role
- Hospitality-related degree preferred, but not required
- Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills
- Commitment to professional development and hospitality excellence
- Knowledge of club management software is a plus; Idle Hour uses JONAS
- Ability to work well under pressure and prioritize tasks
Key Responsibilities
· Provide direct supervision and support for à la carte and banquet service staff to ensure consistent, high-quality service
· Maintain an active presence on the floor to monitor service execution, member satisfaction, and food quality
· Assist in training and ongoing development of service team members in coordination with training leadership
· Serve as Manager on Duty, including opening and closing responsibilities as assigned
· Coordinate service flow between front-of-house and kitchen teams
· Address member and guest concerns promptly and professionally, ensuring appropriate follow-up and resolution
· Ensure cleanliness, organization, and proper maintenance of all food and beverage areas and equipment
· Support service operations for special events and club functions as needed
· Complete additional assignments and responsibilities as directed by Clubhouse leadership
· Assist in scheduling as needed
· Assist in hiring banquet or restaurant staff
