Purpose
Responsible for managing, directing and organizing the dispatch and intake of the product inventory. In addition, accountable for overseeing the functions performed by inventory assistants, inventory clerks and other associated employees.

Responsible for managing, directing and organizing the dispatch and intake of the product inventory. In addition, accountable for overseeing the functions performed by inventory assistants, inventory clerks and other associated employees.
Key Missions
- Plan, prioritize and schedule all staff and resources to meet daily production needs for material delivery.
- Assign physical audits of inventory and monitor inventory usage.
- Ensure that all stock materials comply with the quality standards of the organization.
- Execute inventory control measures to minimize on hand quantities and maximize stock system accuracy.
- Minimize overstocks and removal of obsolete / redundant raw materials to maximize availability of working capital and warehouse capacity.
- Manage control measures to ensure mistakes, inaccuracies and discrepancies are highlighted, addressed, and resolved.
- KPIs and Metrics to manage team performance and inventory accuracies:
- Inventory Accuracy: Maintain a high level of inventory accuracy by conducting regular cycle counts and location audits.
- Employee Cycle Count Productivity: Track and improve employee productivity by measuring metrics like items picked per hour or orders processed per day.
- Warehouse Space Utilization: Optimize warehouse space utilization by maintaining a certain level of space occupancy and minimizing unused areas.
- Safety Metrics: Monitor safety incidents and reportable incidents, aiming for zero safety violations and accidents. Monitor 5S level on a daily basis and define corrective actions when necessary.
Profile & Other Information
- BS/BA in Business Management, Supply Chain or other related inventory control disciplines
- Related experience in various inventory control functions
- Experience in MES software
- Experience in ME D365 software
- Past Supervisory or Managerial experience
- Possessing a relevant professional qualification and/or suitable background experience in inventory management & purchasing
- Have a detailed understanding of MRP and inventory control / management systems and ERP
- The ability to work productively, efficiently & effectively with initiative and drive under tight timescales and pressure while maintaining attention to quality and details
- Experience with supervising Union employees
