Registered Nurse – Coronary Care Unit (Cardiac Stepdown)

Contract | Rotating Shift | Onsite

• Perform and document comprehensive patient assessments, incorporating culture, age, developmental level, and risk factors into individualized care planning.
• Implement patient care therapies and procedures with clinical autonomy within scope of practice, including medication administration, wound care, and IV therapy.
• Recognize, respond to, and communicate changes in patient condition to the interdisciplinary team in a timely and appropriate manner.
• Facilitate admission, transfer, and discharge activities, including discharge teaching and coordination with case management.
• Delegate tasks appropriately and monitor accuracy and completeness of care provided by other team members.
• Actively participate in unit-based quality improvement activities including patient satisfaction, fall prevention, pressure ulcer prevention, and documentation auditing.

• Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the applicable state.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN).
• Proficiency in administering medications and performing medical procedures such as wound care and IV therapy.
• Strong assessment, critical thinking, and task prioritization skills in a fast-paced environment.
• Effective communication skills for collaboration with interdisciplinary teams and patient/family education.

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
• Experience in a cardiac stepdown or coronary care unit setting.

$2268 includes taxable hourly rate plus meals and lodging stipend.
