Office Assistant / Dispatcher
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM
Position Overview
Ideal Construction is seeking a reliable, organized Office Assistant to support daily operations in our Staples office. This role is the first point of contact for customers, vendors, and drivers. The ideal candidate is friendly, detail‑oriented, and able to multitask in a fast‑paced environment—especially during peak gravel‑delivery season.
Key Responsibilities
- Answer incoming phone calls and provide excellent customer service
- Dispatch gravel deliveries, coordinating with drivers and customers
- Create, copy, and file documents as needed
- Maintain organized office records, both digital and paper
- Assist walk‑in customers with questions, payments, or service needs
- Enter basic information into company systems (training provided)
- Support office staff with general administrative tasks
- Monitor and relay messages between field crews and office personnel
Skills & Qualifications
- Strong communication and customer‑service skills
- Ability to stay organized and manage multiple tasks at once
- Comfortable working with phones, printers, and basic office software
- Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently
- Experience in dispatching or construction industry is a plus, but not required
Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour
