The Manufacturing Process Engineer will provide manufacturing and product expertise to review prints and configurations prior to release. This role involves collaborating with production supervisors to identify and implement continuous improvement (CI) activities, optimize workflows, and troubleshoot and resolve operational challenges. This role will also partner with the Manufacturing Process Engineering Manager to support the planning and installation of capital equipment, ensuring smooth integration into the production process.

The Manufacturing Process Engineer will provide manufacturing and product expertise to review prints and configurations prior to release. This role involves collaborating with production supervisors to identify and implement continuous improvement (CI) activities, optimize workflows, and troubleshoot and resolve operational challenges. This role will also partner with the Manufacturing Process Engineering Manager to support the planning and installation of capital equipment, ensuring smooth integration into the production process.
Job Duties
- Manufacturing review of product prior to release:
- Provide consultation to the manufacturing and engineering team to improve manufacturability, reduce cycle times and improve manufacturing flow.
- Review engineering prints and configurations, looking at manufacturing capabilities and proper configurations.
- Setup proper work order routings and estimate times to ensure correct manufacturing workflows.
- Ensure work orders and purchase requisitions are created accurately and in a timely manner.
- Responsible for resolving Manufacturing issues thru collaboration with manufacturing and engineering teams to meet internal and external specifications.
- Help Initiate and complete ECO’s.
- Participate in Level 10 meetings per EOS guidelines.
- Initiate, lead, and implement continuous improvement activities to achieve profitability and improve quality.
- Find, approve, and manage outsource products and processes.
- Other duties as assigned.
- BS or equivalent experience in Engineering field.
- 5 years manufacturing experience doing similar tasks listed above
- Ability to travel (domestic and internationally) and obtain a passport.
- To meet the requirements for government contract work and work in a restricted facility, candidates must adhere to specific criteria set by federal regulations. This includes: 1) a U.S. citizen (whether born or naturalized); 2) a lawful permanent resident of the United States; or 3) a protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C.
- Proficient with manufacturing planning software.
- Excellent verbal/written communication skills.
- Lead problem solving activities.
- Ability to think on your feet and make decisions based on information at hand.
- Must have the ability to lift and/or carry 40 lbs.
- Ability to work at computer station for long periods of time.
- The position will require walking, standing, squatting, crouching, stooping, lifting, climbing, pulling, pushing, sitting, repetitive motion, kneeling, laying on the floor, and will require the employee to work in a cramped or confined space.
