Aerospace Screener/Painter

ABOUT US

IDD Aerospace, located in Redmond WA is a subsidiary of Safran Group, an international Aerospace Company headquartered in France. IDD Aerospace designs and manufactures light plates used on the flight deck of aircraft.

POSITION SUMMARY

Responsible for the screening and related operations in the production of a variety of product.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

Shoots screens and sets up for screening operations.

Performs screening operations which result in consistent quality.

Performs lens preparation and assembly.

Performs paint spraying operations on lenses and filter material.

SKILLS, ABILITIES AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS

Must demonstrate excellent hand-eye coordination and demonstrate ability to work with small parts.

WORKING CONDITIONS

Daily exposure to chemicals. Protective measures must be taken to minimize exposure levels over time. Must wear respirator, eye protection and gloves when exposed to solvents and when spray painting.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Standing at screen table for up to four (4) hours at one time and using upper arm and wrist strength to continue push or pull squeegee.

Sitting at workbench for extended periods to perform lens preparation and assembly.

Excellent eyesight required.

Accountability

This position is under ITAR (International Traffic in Arms Regulations) and must meet export control compliance requirements. To meet export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by Title 22 of Code of Federal Regulations (C.F.R.) §120.15 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
