Warehouse LeadPosition SummaryThe Warehouse Lead, responsible for leading all dock personnel, assists supervisors with managing day-to-day activity of the dock as well as integrity of freight and warehouse operations. Controlling and maintaining all records required for accurate, on-time completion of shipments is also required. The Warehouse Lead must work in a team environment to accomplish work assignments and delegate work to all dock personnel. Job Responsibilities Manage the picking, staging, and shipping operations for our key clientsLead forklift drivers and warehouse associates to meet operational needsCoordinate pick-up appointments with transportation providersOversee and be accountable for shipping/outbound KPIsWork cross-functionally with the Accounts and Support functions to report on key issues as they relate to the positionEnsure compliance to all Health and Safety legislation/guidelines for self and staff at all timesand carry out internal health and safety audits as and when requestedProvide warehouse management with end of day/shift handover information.Execute any other duties as and whenidentifiedMinimum Required Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalentMinimum 2 years of operations orlogisticsexperience, ideally in a shipping/receiving capacityAt least 1 year of supervisory experienceDemonstrated ability to lead and motivate a team-oriented workforceA working understanding of warehouse management systemsProven experience managing personnel to meet operational objectivesStrong at multitasking and task delegationOrganized and detail oriented.Ability to perform data analysis and reporting using Excel or Google SheetsSkills/Abilities Ability to train, coach, and mentor warehouse associates.Strong organization and prioritizing skills.Ability to simultaneously perform multiple tasks.Ability to solve problems and make effective decisions in a fast-paced environment.Ability to manage budgets; read and interpret P&L statements; and prepare related management reports.Intermediate PC skills with knowledge of Excel, Word,OutlookandPowerPointAbilityto multitask and coordinate multiple and often conflicting priorities.Maintains an outgoing, positive, friendly, and customer-focused attitude.Strong written and oral communications skillsrequirediDC Logistics Inc. is committed to providing equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants without regard to race, religion, color, sex, national origin, citizenship status, uniform service member status, age, disability, sexual and gender orientation, genetic information or any other protected status in accordance with all applicable federal, state and local laws.
