What you’ll do
- Lead and mentor a team of assembly technicians, promoting best practices in mechanical assembly.
- Oversee the assembly process, ensuring adherence to schematics and blueprints for optimal accuracy.
- Utilize precision measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers to guarantee quality standards.
- Conduct training sessions on the safe use of hand tools, power tools, and fabrication techniques.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to troubleshoot issues and implement improvements in the assembly workflow.
- Manage inventory and coordinate with warehouse staff to ensure timely availability of materials.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols while operating forklifts and other machinery.
- Maintain detailed records of production metrics and team performance.
Experience
- Proven experience in mechanical assembly or manufacturing environments.
- Strong understanding of blueprint reading and schematic interpretation.
- Proficiency in using precision measuring instruments, including calipers, micrometers, and soldering equipment.
- Hands-on experience with welding, machining, and fabrication processes is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with warehouse operations and inventory management practices.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse team.
