Closing Date: Open until filled. Start Date: To be determined upon hire. Salary: Starting at $90,000 to Depends on Experience (DOE). Location: Boise, IdahoPrimary Duties: The State General Counsel Division represents numerous state agency clients, providing exposure to a variety of novel issues, opportunities to engage in interesting legal work and the ability to expand one’s legal skills. The successful applicant will provide general counsel services to state agencies, commissions and elected officials on a variety of legal issues including statutory interpretation, contracts and procurement, employment issues, open meetings laws, and public records requests. Attorneys in this division will also represent state agencies in administrative hearings.
Minimum Qualifications: Active Idaho State Bar license is required. Preferred Qualifications: At least two years of experience with one or more of the following is preferred: drafting contracts, employment law, education law.
