Job Description

The Development Coordinator serves as a front-line fundraiser on the St. Luke’s Foundation team, working in close partnership with and under the guidance of Foundation leadership. This role supports and executes Children’s Miracle Network (CMN) campaigns and programs to increase awareness and drive fundraising for St. Luke’s Children’s.

The Development Coordinator manages a portfolio of corporate partners and programs, supports the engagement of new partners, and collaborates closely with team members and leadership to align strategies and priorities. This role plays a key part in implementing and supporting a comprehensive CMN program that reflects the needs and priorities of St. Luke’s Children’s.

What to Expect:

  • Support and coordinate Children’s Miracle Network (CMN) fundraising activities to achieve annual revenue goals and performance metrics, in partnership with the Development Manager.
  • Assist in the day-to-day execution of CMN campaigns and programs, including year-round balloon campaigns, partner engagement, goal setting, site visits, fundraising events, conferences, and cultivation opportunities. Provide consistent, relationship-focused support to partner locations.
  • Support the implementation of strategies for donor acquisition, solicitation, and stewardship to grow and sustain CMN partnerships.
  • Help steward sponsor relationships and support meaningful engagement of patient families across key events, including St. Luke’s Foundation signature events, Extra Life, and other community or partner activations.
  • Engage hospital stakeholders, volunteers, and community partners to support relationship growth and expand CMN awareness. Serve as an ambassador by promoting CMN’s impact across internal and external audiences.
  • Coordinate partner experiences (tours, events, leadership engagement) to strengthen connection to mission.
  • Support efforts to grow existing programs and assist in launching new initiatives, partnerships, or campaigns that increase fundraising impact.
  • Collaborate with local and national partners, including support of an annual partner forum.
  • Assist in volunteer engagement efforts, including supporting the development and coordination of a Volunteer Guild in partnership with Foundation leadership.
  • Prepare reports, metrics, and campaign analyses for internal and external stakeholders.
  • This is a highly relational, active role, with approximately 40-50% of time spent out of the office. Evening and weekend availability is required.
  • May support the coordination of others’ work. Other duties as assigned.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of pediatric healthcare services and national trends.
  • Corporate and Foundation relations experience and annual giving knowledge.
  • Prior program or grant management experience or equivalent.
  • 2-4 years of experience in direct fundraising.
  • Demonstrated successful communication skills; strong interpersonal communication skills to interact effectively with donors and prospects and represent St. Luke’s Health Foundation.
  • Strategic and analytic thinking, organization, ability to motivate and gain cooperation from a wide range of individuals including physicians, health care workers and administrators, and senior leadership to meet objectives.
  • Prior experience working in a healthcare environment.
  • Experience preparing and producing marketing content and creative promotional material.
