The Idaho Transportation Department is hiring a Project Coordinator located in District 3 Boise, ID .

This position coordinates and permits the construction phase of large- and small- scale private developer projects which include construction scheduling, navigating project conflicts, and civil design

EXAMPLE OF DUTIES

Plans and Coordinates Developer Construction Projects

  • Coordinates timelines, and implementation strategies with the permit holder
  • Assists in the identification of key stakeholders and project strategies for stakeholder engagement
  • Assists permit holder in identifying applicable contacts, design standards, guides, and other available resources
  • Plans, facilitates, and attends project meetings
  • Coordinates the navigation of conflicts that arise from overlapping department, local, and developer projects.
  • Interprets and explains complex or specialized material into information usable by the developer and other stakeholders.

Measures, Evaluates and Communicates Developer Project Performance

  • Facilitates and evaluates the testing of project materials according to department standards
  • Facilitates and evaluates the proper sourcing a project material according to department standards
  • Evaluates and communicates compliance with design drawings and department design standards
  • Evaluates the adherence to project schedules and timelines
  • Evaluates and Facilitates adherence to approved traffic control plans and traffic control standards
  • Coordinates and assess penalties and corrective actions for project noncompliance
  • Conducts inspections and site reviews to assess final project completion
  • Assists in the determination of and adherence to design standards
  • Assists in the understanding and navigating of local impacts, site specific considerations and maintenance issues
  • Coordinates and assists developers with project emergencies to include arranging
  • Stakeholder meetings, collaborating on solutions, and coordinating action items.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Experience:

  • Planning and implementing projects
  • Developing, promoting, and gaining project support
  • Interpreting and explaining specialized or complex material into information usable by the public

Desired Qualifications
Training in or a good understanding of:

  • Plans and specifications
  • Customer service
  • Temporary traffic control
  • Technical writing
  • Valid Driver's License
