Receiving Clerk is a key member of the Procurement Team. This position is responsible for receiving deliveries, taking appropriate action if a delivery requires rejection, ensuring items received match the pack slip and purchase order, delivering received goods to the appropriate person(s) or designated location, and entering receipts electronically. This position is responsible for assigning bin locations to items that will be stored in the warehouse and putting them away in the assigned location. Responsible for receiving packaging supplies and rotation of these items that require FIFO use. Collaborate with the procurement team in maintaining order of inventory stored in the warehouse, and housekeeping. Assist other team members as needed.

Essential Functions, Duties And Performance Responsibilities
This is a key position within our company that:
- Safely operates forklift and company vehicles.
- Receives goods, delivers to appropriate personnel or location, enters receipts of goods received.
- Communicates with suppliers, freight companies, and associates any errors, damages or issues with deliveries and resolves the issues.
- Labels stock items received, assign bin locations to items stored in the warehouse, apply placards to pallets with appropriate information for identification.
- Organized storage of supplies and rotation of those supplies required to be used in a FIFO manner.
- Keeps a clean and orderly work area.
- Follows plant GMP and safety rules. Build strong working relationships with fellow associates and vendors.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- High School Diploma/GED or equivalent work-related experience.
- A valid driver’s license is required.
- Forklift experience is required.
- Computer experience is required.
- Demonstrates a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Resourceful and can identify and resolve problems.
- Working knowledge of standard industry procurement software and databases including Microsoft Excel, Word, and CMMS system.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize.
- Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Good interpersonal skills.
- Follow processes and procedures as well as assist in updating them when needed.
- Previous experience in a receiving role is helpful but not required.

- Works well with minimal direction or supervision.
- Ability to properly handle confidential information and records.
