SHIFT:
Day Shift, Monday to Friday from 2:00pm to 10:30pm. Subject to change based on business needs.
Availability outside of these hours for coverage as needed.

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Ice Cream Flex Operator is responsible for operating and supporting various production lines within the ice cream plant. This role requires adaptability to work across multiple machines and processes while providing coverage for breaks, lunches, PTO, vacations, training, and to ensure safe, efficient, and uninterrupted production operations.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS, DUTIES AND PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
Production Operations
Operate and monitor equipment for mixing, freezing, filling, and packaging ice cream products.
Adjust machine settings to maintain product specifications and minimize downtime.
Perform line changeovers and assist with start-up and shutdown procedures.
Flexibility & Support
Rotate between different production lines as needed to meet scheduling demands.
Provide coverage for absent operators and assist in training new team members.
Quality & Compliance
Conduct in-process checks to ensure adherence to quality standards and food safety protocols (HACCP, SQF, FDA).
Report deviations and assist in corrective actions.
Safety & Maintenance
Follow all safety guidelines and maintain a clean work environment.
Perform basic troubleshooting and notify maintenance for repairs.
POSITION SPECIFICATIONS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience:
Prior experience in food manufacturing preferred; mechanical aptitude a plus.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Ability to learn and operate multiple types of equipment across production areas.
Strong attention to detail and adaptability.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
Physical Requirements:
Environmental exposure to warehouses stored at ambient (60-70° F), refrigerated (35° F), and frozen (minus 20° F) temperatures.
Walking: Moving about on foot to accomplish tasks, particularly for short distances on a regular basis.
Subject to up to at least 92db’s
Lifting: up to 20 lbs. occasionally

Reaching: Extending hands and arms in any direction
Stooping: Bending body downward and forward by bending spine at the waist occasionally
