Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and proactive Community and Business Development Specialist to drive growth and foster meaningful relationships within our community and our Chamber of Commerce. In this role, you will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities and expanding the Chamber’s membership base and service reach. This role focuses on membership growth, community outreach, workshop development based on member needs, and maintaining strong relationships with businesses and partners to drive organizational growth.

- Internal Collaboration with Chamber leadership and staff to support organizational goals
- Perform additional duties as assigned that support the Chamber’s mission and strategic goals.
Education & Experience Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Valid Driver’s License required
- Candidates must be able to effectively speak, read, and write in Spanish.
- 3–5 years of experience in business development, sales, community outreach, or related field
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, communications, or related area preferred
- Experience working with small businesses, construction, agriculture, landscaping, Food processing, hospitality, healthcare, manufacturing, service/contractors or labor industries strongly preferred
- Demonstrated success in business development, sales, or membership recruitment
- Proven ability to meet or exceed sales or membership growth targets
- Strong customer service orientation and independent work ethic
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
- Working knowledge of Canva, Adobe, Microsoft Teams, and digital communication tools
- Experience assisting with the creation of newsletters, flyers, and social media posts
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and analytical skills
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
