POSITION SUMMARY
The Industrial Electrician is responsible for the maintenance, repair, and installation of electrical systems to ensure the safe and efficient operation of all mill equipment. This position will troubleshoot electrical issues, perform preventative maintenance, and collaborate with maintenance teams to minimize downtime and optimize productivity.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Comprehend and perform all duties in accordance with rules, regulations and JSAs.
- Follow safety protocols and report hazards to ensure a safe work environment.
- Install, repair and maintain plant machinery and equipment with a primary focus on safe and continuous operation of all equipment and facilities.
- Utilize CMMS to document all work orders and equipment maintenance throughout the facility.
- Assist in maintaining the inventory of critical electrical spare parts.
- Support root cause analysis (RCA) problem-solving efforts to eliminate repeat equipment failures.
- Assist in evaluating and measuring vendor performance.
- Collaborate with millwrights in making mechanical repairs as needed.
- Duties vary by location.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Soft Skills:
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration and reporting.
- Problem-solving: Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities to address operational challenges creatively and effectively.
- Organizational Skills: The ability to manage time, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines. Examples include time management, multitasking, and production targets.
- Ability to pass a drug and alcohol test, post-offer pre-employment physical, and background check.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Journeyman Electrician License.
- 2 years of industrial electrical and mechanical experience.
- Knowledge of National Electrical Code and NFPA 70E Arc Flash
- Basic mechanical skills.
- Proficient computer skills – Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook.
- Knowledge of computers and testing equipment.
- Familiarity with manufacturing machinery and safety protocols.
- High School Diploma or GED
- General understanding of OSHA requirements, LOTO procedures and standard operating procedures
- Valid Driver’s License with acceptable motor vehicle history for business travel in company vehicle.

Ability to sit and/or stand for shift, reach with hands and arms, stoop, squat, bend at the waist, kneel, walk varying distance, and climb stairs.
