Job Summary
The Idaho Center for Reproductive Medicine has an immediate job opening for a full-time Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant. Applicants must be team-oriented, compassionate, enjoy working in a rewarding and progressive environment, and willing to work weekends as a portion of regular hours. No prior fertility experience required. Ideal candidate will have prior women’s health experience.
Responsibilities
a. Perform GYN and physical exams, including FDA exams, for both women and men.
b. Is or has potential to quickly become competent in ultrasound endometrial lining measurement, ultrasound follicle assessment, first trimester OB ultrasound, intrauterine insemination, saline sonograms, hysterosalpingograms, and endometrial biopsy; willing to learn by on-the-job training.
c. Counsel and coordinate patient fertility and clinical protocols; coordinate complex, dynamic, multifactorial treatment cycles
d. Documents patient care services by recording and labeling images appropriately, sending and charting in nAbleIVF EMR system per protocol. Ensures interface has functioned and patient record is complete.
e. Provides patient correspondence via phone calls and emails
f. Communicate lab results and medication instructions with patients
g. Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including obtaining medical histories and ordering appropriate diagnostic tests and then developing and implanting treatment plans.
h. Collaborate with care team to optimize clinic workflows and patient experience..
i. Eventually evaluate, diagnose and manage low complexity infertility patients.
j. New patient bonus for this NP Postion as well, with the ultimate goal of them seeing 1 new patient daily, with the rest of their time dedicated to imaging studies and other responsibilities.
Experience
- Masters degree in nursing
- Current NP and/or PA license (Idaho) or ability to obtain Idaho license
- Exceptional people skills
- Spanish-speaking ability a plus
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
- Preferred at least 2 years experience in women’s health
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize
- Ability to remain calm and respond appropriately to all stressful situations
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to access, input, and retrieve information from a computer
- Working knowledge of standard office equipment and procedures
- Flexibility around weekend scheduling—weekends will be part of regular shift
