Position Summary
iD Products is seeking a highly organized, customer-focused Customer Service Coordinator to join our team in Shelton, Connecticut. This is an in-office position responsible for providing exceptional support to customers throughout the order lifecycle. The ideal candidate will serve as a key point of contact for customers, managing inquiries, processing orders, coordinating with internal departments, and ensuring a seamless customer experience from quote to delivery.
The successful candidate will be detail-oriented, proactive, and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Respond promptly and professionally to customer emails, phone calls, and inquiries.
- Process customer orders accurately and efficiently within company systems.
- Review orders for completeness, pricing accuracy, and delivery requirements.
- Coordinate with sales, production, purchasing, and shipping teams to ensure timely order fulfillment.
- Expedite customer orders and manage urgent requests to meet customer deadlines.
- Provide customers with order status updates, shipment tracking information, and delivery schedules.
- Resolve customer concerns, discrepancies, and service issues in a professional manner.
- Maintain accurate customer records and documentation.
- Generate and distribute order confirmations and related customer communications.
- Assist with quote follow-up and customer account support as needed.
- Monitor open orders and proactively communicate potential delays or issues.
- Support continuous improvement efforts focused on customer satisfaction and operational efficiency.
Qualifications
- High school diploma required.
- 2 years of customer service, order processing, inside sales support, or administrative experience.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Excel, and Word.
- Experience working with ERP, CRM, or order management systems preferred.
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Positive attitude and commitment to delivering outstanding customer service.
- Experience working directly with business-to-business (B2B) customers.
