ICX Group is seeking a Senior Accounting Manager for a large publicly traded organization who will focus on team building, process improvements, and be a strategic financial partner to the business.
Responsibilities:
- Act as a subject matter expert on business initiative projects and work closely with VPs, PMs and executives in finance, operations and accounting
- Develop and implement accounting policies, procedures and controls and help streamline processes
- Ensure accurate month end close and financial reporting
- Work closely with external auditors to ensure successful audit compliance
- Coach, mentor and manage accountants
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting required
- 9 years Accounting experience
- CPA preferred
- Ability to communicate with diverse personalities in a tactful, mature, and flexible manner
- Good planning and organizational skills to balance and prioritize work
- Self-motivated and the ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks in order to meet deadlines.
- High emphasis on teamwork and collaboration with various levels within the organization
- Self-starter who accepts ownership of areas of responsibility
- Must possess excellent attention to detail and be willing and able to meet deadlines which may require overtime
- Initiative and willingness to take on additional responsibilities
- Strong oral and written communication skills to articulate key information
