Job Duties
- Lead and manage a team of 10-11 accounting professionals, including managers and staff accountants.
- Oversee all accounting functions: general ledger, accounts receivable/payable, fixed assets, grants, and payroll.
- Prepare accurate financial reports in compliance with GAAP and GASB standards.
- Coordinate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial and regulatory reporting.
- Develop and implement robust accounting policies and internal controls.
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis efforts in partnership with department managers.
- Manage audit processes, ensuring smooth coordination and compliance.
- Provide mentorship to finance staff, fostering professional growth.
- Stay current on industry technology and regulations to improve efficiency.
- Minimum 10 years of financial experience, with at least 5 years in a supervisory role.
- Proven leadership managing teams in either private or public sectors; aviation or infrastructure experience is a plus.
- CPA licenserequired; bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, GASB standards, and financial management best practices.
- Proficient with Oracle, Microsoft Excel, Power BI, and leasing or revenue software.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly.
- Master's degree in financial management.
