As the Director for ICS, you will have a pivotal role in expanding our footprint while leading the offices in Grand Forks and Fargo, ND. You will be responsible for building and mentoring a high-performance team, driving new accounts that align with our strategic vision, and delivering profitable growth for the region. Business Leadership
- Lead the development and growth of ICS’s business, headquartered in Grand Forks, ND.
- Win strategic accounts and drive market growth aligned with ICS’s vision.
- Build and maintain a high-performance team to execute on project commitments.
- Achieve and maintain ambitious EBITA and financial performance targets for the region.
- Ensure financial responsibility, risk management, and protection through diverse business offerings.
Project Management & Delivery
- Lead, manage, and develop all project management teams to ensure the successful delivery of specialty construction projects.
- Monitor schedule adherence, financial performance, and risk mitigation across all active projects.
- Establish and enforce best practices for project planning, scheduling, cost control, and performance reporting.
- Conduct regular reviews of project milestones and provide executive guidance and course correction as needed.
Operational Excellence
- Champion efficient and effective operations, ensuring projects are executed safely, profitably, and to the highest quality standards.
- Oversee systems for capturing, processing, and cataloging project and subcontractor documentation, including compliance, invoices, receipts, and payment schedules.
- Work closely with accounting and finance departments to ensure invoice accuracy, timely approvals, and successful audits.
Team Building & Development
- Recruit and retain top talent who exemplify ICS’s values and culture.
- Foster a culture of ongoing development and mentorship, growing future leaders within the branch.
- Encourage team members to utilize and update ICS’s CRM systems for maximum effectiveness.
- Maintain a high level of engagement through frequent travel to project sites, building relationships and accountability with field leaders.
- Develop and inspire leaders, promoting the growth of a third-generation leadership mindset.
Business Development & Relationship Management
- Direct and support leaders to maintain client relationships and identify new business opportunities.
- Represent ICS at client meetings, industry events, and engagements to foster growth and bolster our reputation.
- Actively participate in professional organizations and relevant industry/community groups.
- Collaborate with estimating and preconstruction teams to strategically position ICS competitively in the marketplace.
Build and maintain relationships with subcontractors, suppliers, and service providers, ensuring proper documentation, performance tracking, and scope compliance.
- Ten plus years of experience leading and developing, high-performing teams in construction or industrial services.
- Track record of building and growing profitable business units.
- Strategic, growth-oriented mindset with strong operational management skills.
- Relationship-driven; effective communicator comfortable representing ICS.
- Familiarity with project management, best practices, performance reporting, and financial controls.
- Proficiency in CRM and business management systems.
- Active in industry organizations preferred.
Base Salary Range: $150,000-$230,000
