What are the responsibilities and job description for the Operations Manager position at Icon Realty Partners | EXP Realty?
You report directly to the Founder. You sit above the department leads. You are the second-in-command. The Founder builds the vision. You execute it.
You run the leadership team, own the P&L accountability, protect operational focus, and make sure nothing slips. When the team is stuck, you break the tie. When a new idea comes in, you decide what gets resourced, what gets tabled, and when.
This is not a coordinator role. This is not a support function. This is the person who keeps the entire machine running. What we need now is someone to own the execution of it.
Compensation:$125,000 - $150,000
Responsibilities:
- Day-to-day operations of the business.
- Leadership team performance and accountability.
- Quarterly and annual plan execution.
- Core process documentation and compliance. Agent onboarding and ramp.
- The CRM, transaction workflows, and operational systems.
- Hiring execution.
- P&L performance alongside the Founder.
Qualifications:
- Some things can be taught. The skills that make someone elite in this seat cannot. We are looking for someone who is wired a specific way.
- You close every loop. Not because someone follows up with you. Because an open loop physically bothers you.
- You do not need to be managed. You identify what needs to happen, build the plan, and execute it. You check in when it matters, not because you need permission.
- You are organized at a level most people find excessive. Your systems are not a workaround. They are how you think.
- You can have a hard conversation with anyone in the organization, including the Founder. You deliver it cleanly, without politics, and the relationship is stronger afterward. You are direct. You are known for it.
- You make decisions with data. When something is broken, you look at the numbers, find the cause, and fix it. You do not look for someone to blame, and you do not wait for consensus.
- You get your energy from execution, not ideation. Watching a plan land is more satisfying to you than coming up with it.
- You have managed people before. Real management. Not oversight. You have held someone accountable to a standard they did not meet, had the conversation, and driven a result.
- You make the people around you better. Not through inspiration. Through clear expectations, honest feedback, and standards you hold without exception.
- You are comfortable with modern operations tools and automation. You do not need to be an engineer. But when you see a manual process, your first instinct is to question it. You know how to evaluate a workflow, identify what should be automated, and implement something better.
- Familiarity with the Entrepreneurial Operating System (EOS) is a plus. It is not a requirement.
