Senior Developer Advocate

🚀 We’re hiring a Developer Advocate – Michelangelo Open Source (MA OSS) 🚀

Are you a DevOps- or SRE‑minded engineer who loves working hands‑on with ML platforms and engaging with the developer community? Do you enjoy writing technical tutorials just as much as connecting with engineers at meetups? If so, we want you to be the face of Michelangelo Open Source (MA OSS) to the global ML community.

🌐 About the Role

As a Developer Advocate for MA OSS, you’ll help drive external adoption of our open‑source ML platform and establish Michelangelo as the industry standard for MLOps. You’ll sit at the intersection of engineering, community, and product—bridging the gap between our internal teams and the broader ML ecosystem.

This is a high‑impact, highly visible role for someone who is deeply technical, an excellent communicator, and energized by community building.

🛠 What You’ll Do

• Create technical content: Documentation, tutorials, blogs, and talks focused on MLOps workflows, MA OSS, and the end‑to‑end ML lifecycle.
• Grow the MA OSS community: Engage contributors and users through workshops, hackathons, meetups, and educational programs.
• Be the developer voice: Collect feedback from the community and translate it into actionable insights for engineering and product teams.
• Champion best practices: Advocate for modern MLOps practices across training, serving, monitoring, and operations.
• Provide hands-on support: Help external users troubleshoot and successfully adopt MA OSS.
• Plan and execute advocacy initiatives on a biannual cadence, adapting to new trends and organizational priorities.
• Represent MA OSS externally at local events and occasionally evening meetups.

✅ What We’re Looking For

• Strong background in Machine Learning and MLOps
• Hands‑on experience with Kubernetes, Docker, Linux, Python, and open‑source ecosystems
• Familiarity with the full ML lifecycle: data → training → serving → monitoring
• Proven ability to write and present technical content for developer audiences
• Experience building or contributing to technical communities
• Comfortable working from a terminal and deploying real systems (if you haven’t touched K8s recently, this may not be the right fit)

🌟 Bonus Points If You Have

• Open‑source contributions (active GitHub preferred, ML/AI a plus)
• Experience as a DevOps Engineer, SRE, or Technical Founder
• A portfolio of technical blogs, tutorials, or talks
• A knack for networking and coding—sometimes in the same day

✈️ Travel & Schedule

• Occasional local Bay Area events, sometimes outside standard work hours
