Position Summar
yWe are seeking an experienced Oracle Cloud HCM Functional Analyst to support and optimize our Oracle Cloud HCM environment. This hands-on role focuses on maintaining operational stability, improving configuration quality, and directly supporting Core HR, Benefits, and Absence Management processes
.Additionally, the ideal candidate will serve as a trusted functional advisor for Payroll and Time & Labor, guiding configuration dependencies, reviewing downstream pay impacts, and aligning system behavior without owning direct payroll processing or time administration
.Note: This position will initially work full-time onsite in the Houston area to facilitate collaboration with the HR Systems team and key business stakeholders. Hybrid flexibility will be evaluated once the analyst is fully established and operating independently

Key Responsibilities
Direct Support: Benefits, Absence & Core
- HR Module Configuration: Provide direct functional configuration, deployment, and production support for Oracle Benefits, Absence Management, and Core HR modules
- Benefits & Open Enrollment: Configure and support Oracle Benefits programs (plan offerings, rates, eligibility profiles, and life events). Support annual and mid-year Open Enrollment execution, testing, audits, and post-enrollment stabilization
- Absence Management: Build and manage absence plans, accrual rules, eligibility criteria, and absence-related Fast Formulas
- Core HR Operations: Manage worker lifecycle events, assignment data, employment records, jobs, positions, and overall data integrity
- Issue Resolution: Diagnose and resolve complex Tier 2/3 functional issues impacting eligibility, enrollments, absence balances, and cross-module workflow
Functional Advisory: Payroll & Time and Lab
- Strategic Guidance: Serve as the functional advisor for Oracle Payroll and Time & Labor, offering expertise on system behavior, configuration design, and downstream impacts on employee pay data
- Cross-Functional Partnership: Partner with Payroll and HR Operations to analyze calculations, assess root causes of discrepancies, and recommend fixes without executing payroll runs or managing daily timecard
- Time & Labor Design: Advise on time entry rules, schedules, approvals, validations, overtime, and premium pay-impacting calculation
- Testing & Compliance: Lead impact assessments, regression testing, and validation for payroll- and time-related enhancements, quarterly updates, and hot fixed
Oracle Configuration & Governance
- System Optimization: Evaluate current Oracle HCM configurations to identify opportunities for automation, simplification, and an enhanced user experience
- Advanced Tools: Develop and maintain Fast Formulas and User-Defined Tables (UDTs) across core modules
- Release Management: Coordinate regression testing for Oracle’s quarterly releases, ensuring cross-module dependencies and integrations remain stable
- Documentation: Build and preserve functional design workbooks, configuration guides, test scripts, and knowledge-transfer materials
Qualifications Required
- Experience: 5 years of hands-on functional experience with Oracle Cloud HCM
- Core Strengths: Deep functional configuration expertise in Core HR, Benefits Administration, Absence Management, Fast Formulas, and User-Defined Tables (UDTs)
- Advisory Capability: Functional working knowledge of Oracle Payroll and Time & Labor, with a proven ability to advise on downstream impacts and system dependencies
- Lifecycle Management: Solid track record supporting Open Enrollment, absence accrual rules, and standard worker lifecycle data architecture
- Problem Solving: Demonstrated ability to independently analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve complex application issuses
- Communication: Strong documentation, stakeholder management, and cross-functional collaboration skills
Preferred
- Experience navigating Oracle HCM quarterly updates, regression testing, and post-go-live stabilization
- Familiarity with global or multi-country setups for benefits, absence, and payroll integrations
- Hands-on experience with Oracle Journeys or Oracle HR Helpdesk
- Prior experience supporting an enterprise environment within the manufacturing, engineering, energy, or industrial sectors

- Provide robust functional advisory support for Payroll and Time & Labor dependency reviews
- Review, optimize, and document existing Fast Formulas and User-Defined Tables (UDTs)
- Establish clear runbooks, configuration workbooks, and knowledge-transfer materials to strengthen internal controls
