Location: Downers Grove, IL 60515 (4 Days Onsite)

Pay Rate: $40.00 – $44.00/hour

Duration: 8-Month Contract

Overview

We are seeking a Bank Loan Operations Analyst to support the operational management of syndicated loan and structured credit portfolios within a fast-paced investment environment.

This position is focused on the Bank Loan Asset Class and requires experience supporting leveraged loans, syndicated loan settlements, CLO administration, structured credit operations, or related investment operations functions.

This is NOT a traditional commercial banking, mortgage lending, SBA lending, or loan processing role.

The ideal candidate will have experience working for an asset manager, fund administrator, corporate trust organization, institutional bank, or structured credit platform supporting the administration, settlement, reporting, and operational oversight of bank loan portfolios.

Key Responsibilities

• Support operational activities related to syndicated loan and leveraged loan portfolios
• Coordinate trade settlements with agent banks, counterparties, custodians, and internal investment teams
• Process loan trade activity, assignments, amendments, restructurings, and cash movements
• Monitor and resolve settlement breaks, trade exceptions, and data discrepancies
• Maintain portfolio data integrity across loan accounting and portfolio management systems
• Perform cash and position reconciliations for loan portfolios
• Generate recurring and ad hoc reporting for portfolio managers, clients, compliance teams, and senior leadership
• Assist with operational onboarding of new funds, portfolios, and transactions
• Support business integration initiatives, system conversions, operational migrations, and process improvements
• Work closely with portfolio management, legal, compliance, accounting, trustees, custodians, and external service providers
• Ensure accurate documentation and compliance with internal controls and operational procedures

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required
• Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related discipline preferred
• 2 years of experience supporting bank loan, syndicated loan, CLO, structured credit, or investment operations functions
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines
• Advanced Excel skills preferred
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
