The Opportunity

We are currently seeking a Safety Director to support our Colorado-based industrial construction operations. With over four decades of delivering high-quality, safe, and complex industrial projects, this role is essential in continuing ICM’s legacy of safety leadership.


As our Safety Director, you will champion and elevate ICM’s safety excellence, leading the development, implementation, and oversight of ICM’s comprehensive safety programs—ensuring a safe, compliant and high-performing work environment for employees, clients, and partners.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead the development and communication of ICM’s safety vision, objectives, strategies, policies,
  • and procedures.
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local safety laws (OSHA, MSHA, EM385).
  • Conduct and oversee hazard assessments, inspections, and job‑site audits.
  • Analyze incident and inspection data, identifying corrective and preventive action opportunities.
  • Assist with and review incident investigations, ensuring accuracy and corrective action follow‑through.
  • Serve as ICM’s subject-matter expert in health and safety with clients, regulators, and internal teams.
  • Develop and implement training programs across mining, manufacturing, construction, and industrial operations.
  • Inspect facilities to detect hazards, recommend solutions, and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
  • Review safety documentation, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with procedures.
  • Lead, coach, and develop safety staff, building a high‑performance, customer‑focused safety team.


What You’ll Bring

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in environmental health & safety, safety management, construction,
  • or related field.
  • Experience: 10 years of construction safety management experience and 5 years managing and leading structured safety programs (general contractor or specialty contractor preferred).
  • Certifications: CSP preferred; OSHA 500 required.
  • Technical Aptitude: Proficiency in Microsoft Office, along with common business and software applications.
  • Knowledge: Deep understanding of OSHA, MSHA, EM385, and relevant local/federal safety standards.
  • Skills: Detail-oriented, organized, analytical, able to communicate effectively with clients and internal teams.
  • Attributes: Effective leadership capability, strong problem‑solving abilities, proactive in identifying safety risks & ability to mitigate, committed to continually fostering a culture of safety.

Salary : $100,000 - $135,000
