Duties:
- Support Configuration Management (CM) across system, service, function, and project levels in alignment with applicable standards.
- Evaluate and assess the impact of proposed change requests on system acquisitions and segment-level projects.
- Generate, coordinate, and track Requests for Change (RFCs), including associated cost impact documentation.
- Coordinate CM board agendas and participate in Engineering Review Boards (ERBs).
- Track Service Provider Contract Data Requirements Lists (CDRLs), responses, and CORL approval letters.
- Review relevant RFC documentation and advise Government points of contact on impacts to systems and processes.
- Develop and maintain resolution plans for TBD / TBR items in configuration-controlled documents; provide monthly status updates.
- Administer CM activities at the enterprise and group level, including ERB scheduling, agenda compilation, and issue tracking.
- Support service adjustments through pre-coordination of site-level impacts and alignment with operational baselines.
- Maintain and update the Configuration Management Plan (CMP) in accordance with CDRL A052.
- Deliver configuration status accounting reports, perform audits, and contribute to enterprise-level CM strategy execution.
- Utilize model-based systems engineering (MBSE) and data-driven methods to support lifecycle CM decisions.
Required Qualifications:
- Active TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph (or willingness to obtain one).
- Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, Math, or a related technical field.
- Minimum of 12 years of Configuration Management and/or Systems Engineering related experience in a federal or IC environment.
- Proficiency in change control processes, RFC tracking, baseline management, and CM audits.
- Experience using CM tools such as DOORS, JIRA, Confluence, Git, or equivalent enterprise systems.
- Familiarity with configuration governance standards such as ANSI/EIA-649, ISO 15288, and NRO CM processes.
Desired Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Systems Engineering, Engineering Management, or related technical discipline.
- INCOSE CSEP certification or equivalent systems engineering credential.
PMP or ITIL certification. - Expertise in Engineering Review Boards (ERBs), CCBs, and lifecycle CM governance.
- Use model-based systems engineering (MBSE) and data-driven methods to support RFC evaluations, configuration status reporting, and change impact decisions.
- Ensure adherence to quality standards and contribute to configuration audits and validation of configuration baselines against approved documentation.
- Interface with government stakeholders and technical teams to iteratively define change impacts and gain feedback through configuration lifecycle events such as Engineering Review Boards (ERBs).
- Ensure integration of Configuration Management with Risk, Issue, and Opportunity (RIO) Management processes to track and mitigate impacts of configuration changes.
- Support Configuration Management as part of broader systems engineering technical enabling tasks to maintain consistency, control, and traceability across lifecycle activities.
- NRO or DoD/IC experience.
